Large-N random matrix gravity and the double hierarchy problem

Abstract Why are the cosmological constant, electroweak and Planck scales so different? This “double hierarchy” problem, where Λ ≪ M 2 EW p , is one of most pressing in fundamental physics. We show that a theory N randomly coupled massive gravitons at scale, these linked precisely by such double hierarchy for large with intriguing consequences. Surprisingly, all physical scales, only massless graviton emerges which also, effectively, to matter, giving rise standard Einstein gravity, G μν = T N. In addition there tower gravitons, lightest can drive late-time acceleration. this scenario, observed empirical relation ∼ 4 as well hierarchy, arise naturally since /√(N) √(N)M .
